Timeline

February 4, 2012: Cecelia Washburn* is allegedly raped by Jordan Johnson.

Early February, 2012: Cecelia Washburn reports the rape to UM dean Charles Couture.

February 24, 2012: First meeting in university investigation against Johnson.

March 9, 2012: Washburn files a restraining order against Johnson.

March 19, 2012: Seeing that the story has broken on KPAX.com, Washburn reports her assault to the police.

March 27, 2012: Couture writes to Johnson informing him he has been found guilty and is expelled. Johnson appeals the decision.

May 10, 2012: Despite repeated attempts by Johnson’s attorney, David Paoli, to delay the process, a university court hearing takes place and Johnson is found guilty.

June 13, 2012: Paoli requests a review from Commissioner Clayton Christian. Johnson is not expelled.

July 31, 2012: Johnson is charged with rape by Missoula County prosecutors.

August 7, 2012: A motion to dismiss the case is filed by Johnson’s lawyers.

February 11, 2013: Johnson’s trial commences.

March 1, 2013: Johnson is found not guilty by a unanimous jury verdict.
